Steve joined Amethyst as MD in January 2008 and became one of the founder shareholders. His expertise is a combination of extensive knowledge of High Integrity Software engineering and business development coupled with a track record of successful business management. Amethyst’s commitment to ‘fair dealing’ and a strong belief in maintaining a sensible work-life balance have made it both financially successful and an environment where an excellent technical team can thrive and grow.

Hobbies wise, Steve enjoys to grow vegetables, make Jam and play computer games.

Karina joined Amethyst in 2008, bringing with her a background in office management, human resources, and quality assurance. Alongside Steve Howe, Karina has grown and developed the Company looking after the day-to-day operations as the Operations Director before promotion to Deputy Managing Director in 2022.

With over 25 years’ experience in the cyber security industry, she plays a pivotal role in managing the Company, applying her analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex business challenges and drive the Company’s success. Building on the company’s strong growth, Karina is committed to establishing Amethyst as the trusted partner of choice for expert cyber security support. 

In her spare time, Karina enjoys getting outdoors spending time with her family, and travelling.

With over 27 years of cross-industry experience, Georgina has been at the forefront of driving business growth and delivering exceptional client-focused solutions, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.

Georgina’s career began in the healthcare sector, where she played key roles in IT, leveraging technology to enhance critical systems and support patient care. She later transitioned into the luxury motorcar industry, further honing her expertise in delivering high-end, tailored services to meet the unique needs of discerning clients.

Since joining Amethyst in 2009, Georgina has been instrumental in shaping the company’s sales strategy, building lasting client relationships, and expanding its presence in the cybersecurity landscape. As Sales Director, she leads a team committed to delivering bespoke security support that protect businesses from the growing complexity of cyber threats.

With her extensive background and a passion for providing value-driven support, Georgina ensures that every client benefits from cutting-edge security strategies and expert guidance. Her leadership and customer-first approach continue to drive Amethyst’s mission to safeguard businesses in an ever-evolving digital world.

As the Operations Director at Amethyst Risk Management, Ross brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, team leadership, and operational excellence. Having worked as a Principal Consultant and with over 18 years managing complex cyber security projects and cross-functional teams, Ross is dedicated to ensuring the seamless execution of operations that safeguard our clients’ services and digital assets.

With an MSc in Advanced Information Systems and having acquired many cyber security, project management and other professional certifications he is passionate about promoting a culture of excellence and developing the Amethyst consultancy team.  Outside of work, Ross enjoys days in the mountains, keeping fit and walking his dog.
