Thursday 6 June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever seen.
Thousands made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It was the start of Allied operations which would ultimately liberate western Europe, defeat Nazi Germany and bring an end to the Second World War.
