Amethyst

Knowledge Sharing Workshop

As a remote-first cybersecurity consultancy (yes we were doing it long before the Covid pandemic), we’re no strangers to Teams calls and virtual whiteboards. Our consultants are spread across the country – often working directly with clients on everything from security strategy and resilience planning through to governance and architecture. It’s a model that works brilliantly for flexibility and focus, but there’s equally something powerful about getting the Amethyst team in the same room.

This week, we hosted a team-wide Knowledge Sharing Workshop at the Roseate Hotel in Reading. A chance to step away from the screens, bring our people together, and learn from the breadth of experience across our vast consulting portfolio. The goal was simple: to share best practices, exchange ideas and have open conversations about the successes and challenges we face in keeping our clients secure.

In cybersecurity, things move fast. Threats evolve, technologies shift, and the pressure on businesses to stay ahead never lets up. That’s why internal collaboration is just as important as technical expertise. When we share what we know, challenge assumptions, and learn from our real-world experiences, we raise the bar for everyone – ourselves and our clients.

The day also helped foster something equally as important: connection. Building trust and culture across a remote team doesn’t happen by accident. Events like this give us a chance to reconnect as colleagues, not just consultants, and that makes a real difference.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!
